\"\"Her real name is Rosalba Pippa<\/strong>; her friends call her Rosa. But to fans? She is Arisa<\/strong> \u2013 an acronym she came up with by combining the first letters of her family member\u2019s names. Born in Genoa<\/strong> in 1982<\/strong>, she grew up in Basilicata<\/strong> in the South of Italy.<\/p>\n

Arisa took her first steps in the music world by participating in local singing competitions in her small village of Pignola<\/strong>. During her teenage years, she dabbled in many jobs: as a waitress, piano-bar singer, baby-sitter, hairdresser, house-cleaner and aesthetician\u2019s assistant. After winning a scholarship in 2007<\/strong>, Arisa enrolled in the Mogol European Center Toscolano<\/em><\/strong> where she studied music and singing. She found fame in 2009<\/strong>, winning the most important music competition in Italy: the 59 \u00ba Festival of Sanremo<\/em>,<\/strong><\/a> performing in the \u201cNew Talents\u201d<\/strong> category with the song \u201cSincerit\u00e0\u201d<\/strong>. This was just the first of several successes: Arisa twice won the first prize and once the second at the same festival in subsequent years. In 2010<\/strong> Arisa started to appear on the talent show X Factor<\/strong>, she also occasionally works as an actress and has done voiceover for major movies. Nowadays, she\u2019s writing her first album as a singer-songwriter.<\/p>\n

This is to say: Arisa is really a unique personality.
\n\u201cShe is kind of crazy\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 we would say \u2013 but in a very friendly way, as we became close friends after meeting only once, and falling immediately in love with the girl!<\/p>\n

After our first meeting in Milan<\/strong>, we had the chance to get closer to Arisa after travelling together with her to Japan in order to participate in the event \u201cItalia Amore Mio\u201d<\/strong> organized by the Italia Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ICCJ)<\/strong>. We spent four amazing days together, working and laughing like old colleagues. What impressed us the most was her simplicity. She is really an easygoing celebrity, we had it clear when, departing from Milan<\/strong> toward Tokyo<\/strong>, we had some technical problems and Arisa – one of the most famous\u00a0Italian singers \u2013 had to take a 12<\/strong>-hour flight in economy class! Not only did she never complain but also, after landing, she was jumping around and went straight to check the stage for the upcoming concert (we were astonished and in an incredibly bad mood instead!). You had to see her, walking in the most popular street of Tokyo<\/strong> like a common girl, and stopping in every Shu Uemura<\/strong> store in order to have our make-up done, explaining the secrets for perfect skin as she learnt in her previous job in an esthetic salon. This is just an example of her infinitely great personality.<\/p>\n
